El mimo

Últimamente hemos trabajado el mimo en el Taller de Creatividad Musical con mis alumnos de 4º de diversidad. Primero tuvimos que examinar nuestros movimientos, nuestro cuerpo y nuestras expresiones faciales. Descubrimos que era más difícil de lo que pensamos en un principio. 

Lately we've been working mime in the "Musical Creativity workshop" with the students of 4th of Diversity. First of all, we examined our moves, our body and our facial expressions. We discovered that it was harder than we thought in the first place. 

Después de eso, empezamos a realizar escenas fáciles y a maquillarnos como lo hacen los mimos. Os muestro algunas fotos del proceso de maquillaje. Decidimos hacerlo en parejas y funcionó muy bien.

After that, we started to do some easy scenes and we started to wear the mime's make up. These are some of my students in the process of making themselves up. We decided to do it in pairs and it really worked.

Había más personajes como Pulcinella, el mimo loco, etc. Creo que se lo pasaron muy bien. El siguiente paso fue interpretar juntos. Les di un par de indicaciones sobre una historia y tenían que improvisar sobre ella. Lo creáis o no, ¡solo lo ensayaron dos veces! Fue estupendo porque descubrí que son muy talentosos como actores y actrices. :) Aquí tenéis el vídeo que lo prueba:

There were more characters like Pulcinella, the Mad mime, etc. I think they had a great time. The next step was performing together. I gave a pair of indications about a story and they had to improvise. Believe it or not, they only had to rehearse it twice!!. It was wonderful because I discovered they are really talented as actors and actresses :) Here you have the video that proves it:

Trabajo final del Taller de Creatividad Musical

En el Taller de Creatividad Musical, hemos creado música durante todo el curso. Hemos cantado, hemos tocado y hemos hecho adaptaciones de letras, del inglés al castellano. Todo esto, intentando ser más creativos y acercarnos más a la música.

In the "Musical Creativity Workshop", we have been creating music during the whole course. We have sung, we have played and we have made adaptations of English lyrics to Spanish. All of this, trying to be more creative and getting closer to music.

Como proyecto final, Alejandro y su amigo Vicente han compuesto esta canción llamada "Frío amanecer". Se hacen llamar Spring's Disasters (Desastres de la primavera) y esta canción es del tipo balada. La música y las letras son originales de ellos y estoy muy impresionada con el trabajo que han hecho. Aquí los tenéis:

As a final project, Alejandro and his friend Vicente have composed this song called "Frío amanecer". They called themselves Spring's Disasters and this is kind of a Ballad. The music and the lyrics are totally theirs, so I'm really impressed by the work they've done. Here you have them:

Festival de Cante de las Minas

En el taller de creatividad musical estamos trabajando la oferta cultural de la Región de Murcia y hoy Juani y Natalia han expuesto en clase un wix sobre el festival de Cante de las Minas. ¿Que no sabéis lo que es?. Pues empezad a leer y a escuchar :)

"Rumba". Instrumentación del Taller de Creatividad Musical

Aunque en el instituto existe la asignatura de "Taller de Creatividad Musical", aún no habíamos hecho ninguna instrumentación Orff porque nos habíamos centrado en cantar, realizar polirritmias, actuar, etc.

Although we have the subject "Music Creativity Workshop" in our Highschool, we hadn't done any Orff instrumentation yet, cause we were focused on singing, inventing polyrhythms, performing, etc.

Ahora os presentamos la pieza llamada "Rumba". Es muy corta pero, como se suele decir, "lo bueno, si breve, dos veces bueno". Lamento no poder compartir la partitura porque es de un libro y, por supuesto, no es "Creative Commons" :(

Now, here you have a little piece called "Rumba". It's very short but it's nice to listen to. I hope you like it. I'm sorry I can't give you the score but it's from a book and, of course, they don't have "Creative Commons Licence". :(
