Nos citan en "Educa con TIC" y comenzamos un nuevo proyecto

Esta entrada no va a ser muy larga. Es para haceros saber que mi querida Mª Jesús Camino, a la que conocéis porque hablo mucho de ella, ha escrito un maravilloso artículo (como siempre) en "Educa con TIC". La razón por la que os cuento esto es porque en él, habló de nuestro trabajo. Si digo que Mª Jesús es mi mentora, no os desvelo nada nuevo, pero podéis imaginar que estoy muy contenta de que haya incluído "Soy un compositor de los siglos XX y XXI" entre las múltiples grandes ideas para enseñar Historia de la Música de una forma divertida, que podéis encontrar en su artículo (pinchad en la foto para leerlo completo):

This post is not going to be very long. It's to let you know that my beloved Mª Jesús Camino, who you all know because I talk about her all the time, has written a wonderful article, as usual, in "Educa con TIC". The reason why I'm telling you this is because she talked about our work. If I say that Mª Jesús is my mentor, I'm not saying anything new, but you can guess I am really happy that she included "I'm a XXth and XXIst Century Composer" among the multiple great ideas to teach "Music History" in a more funny way, that you can read on her article (click on the pic below):

Muchas gracias, Mª Jesús, por tu generosidad, inspiración y por animarnos a todos, cada día, a mejorar. Tu calidad como profesora TIC sólo se ve superada por tu grandeza como persona. :)

Thank you Mª Jesús for your generosity, your inspiration and for encouraging us all, everyday, to be better. Your quality as a TIC teacher is only exceeded for your greatness as a person. :)

Y ahora tengo que contaros que nos hemos metido en un nuevo proyecto llamado "Musicarte". Como sabéis, la música es una asignatura muy importante y las artes, en general, son una de las mejores maneras de aprender y desarrollar nuestra creatividad. Por este motivo, muchos profesores vamos a trabajar diferentes asignaturas a través del Arte y la Música. En los próximos meses, en este blog, veréis diferentes entradas en las que se relacionará a la Música con la Historia, Literatura, etc. :) Tengo que agradecer a Inma Contreras, la artífice de esta nueva idea, el habérmela dado a conocer y el ser tan motivadora. And now, I have to tell you that we've got involved in a new project called "Musicarte". As you know, Music is a very important subject and Arts, in general, are one of the best ways to learn and develope our creativity. For this matter, many teachers are going to work different subjects through Art and Music. In the next months, on this blog, you'll see different posts relating Music with History, Literature, etc. :) I have to thank Inma Contreras, the architec of this new idea, for letting me know about it and for being so motivating. Concurso de Talentos en el festejo de Sto. Tomás

Cada año se celebra el día de Santo Tomás, patrón de Secundaria. Es un día genial porque los estudiantes y los profesores tenemos la oportunidad de hablar, divertirnos, etc. en distintas actividades fuera del aula. :) Este año, además, ha sido único porque la Asociación de Estudiantes ha tenido una gran idea: organizar un concurso de talentos. Muchos estudiantes dieron lo mejor de sí mismos y pudimos ver muchos tipos de actuaciones: artes marciales, imitaciones humorísticas, teatro y mucha música. Fue estupendo ver el talento que tienen nuestros alumnos. 
Every year we celebrate "St. Thomas Day", the day of Secondary School. It's a great day because students and teachers have the opportunity of talking, having fun, etc. in different activities out of the classroom. :) But this year has been unique because the Students' association had a great idea: to organize a talents's contest. Many students gave their best and we could see many shows: martial arts, humor, theatre and much music. It was incredible to see the talent of all these students.

Espero que os haya gustado! Si tenéis curiosidad acerca de quién ganó, la versión de Taylor Swift fue el primer premio, la de Pereza, el segundo y, el soliloquio de "Hamlet", el tercero. Quiero agradecer a la Asociación de Estudiantes su trabajo y animar a todos a continuar esta maravillosa idea. Estoy segura de que hay muchos talentos ocultos. Espero verlos en el escenario el año que viene :)
I hope you liked it!!. If you're curious about who won, Taylor Swift's cover was the 1st winner, Pereza's cover was the 2nd and, the soliloquy of "Hamlet", the 3rd. I want to thank the Students's Association for their work and encourage everyone to continue this wonderful idea. I know for sure there are many hidden talents. I hope to see them on stage next year :)

Reto 9

Como sabéis, porque os lo dije desde que volvimos a clase de las vacaciones navideñas, tenemos que estudiar el timbre de los instrumentos. Se me ha ocurrido que podríamos usar este tema para proponer el Reto 9. 
As you may know, because I told you about it as soon as we came back from Christmas holidays, we have to study the timbre of the instruments. It occured to me that I could use this topic to propose you challenge number 9.

Este reto tendrá varias partes y podéis participar sólo en una. Si cometéis un error en la que hayáis elegido o la respuesta no es correcta, ya no podréis participar en otra, así que pensad cuidadosamente cuál queréis responder. :P
This challenge will have several parts and you can participate in just one. If you make a mistake, somebody else will have the opportunity to try, but you won't be able to choose another one so, be careful about which one you choose!! :P



 Las preguntas son:
1.- Nombrad un instrumento que conozcáis de cada categoría (cordófonos, electrófonos, etc.) que no hayan aparecido en el vídeo. Tenéis que añadir un enlace a un vídeo donde podamos escucharlo y verlo. Tenéis que dar, al menos, cuatro ejemplos de instrumentos de distintas familias. 
2.- Hay muchos instrumentos que aparecen que no pertenecen a la orquesta. ¿Podéis nombrarlos todos y contarnos su origen y alguna curiosidad o característica?
3.- Uno de los instrumentos anteriores tiene otro nombre porque el que le han dado en el vídeo no es correcto. ¿Cuál es?.
4.- De cada categoría (cordófonos, membranófonos, idiófonos, aerófonos y electrófonos), dad un ejemplo de instrumentos no occidentales que no aparezcan en el vídeo. Tenéis que especificar de dónde proceden, su nombre y añadir un enlace donde podamos oírlos.
5.- Dime el nombre que se suele utilizar para nombrar al llamado "trompe".
6.- ¿Qué es un "stick sake"? Este no es su nombre real (pero ojo, que ésta no es la respuesta a la pregunta 3). Decidme su auténtico nombre y un poco de su historia. Además, si queréis, podéis dar un enlace a una página web que complete vuestra información.
The questions are:
1.- Tell me one instrument that you know of each category (cordophones, electrophones, etc.) that hasn't appeared on the video. You have to add a link to a video where we can listen to it and see it. You have to give me, then, at least 4 examples of instruments of different families.
2.- There are many instruments who don't belong to the orchestra. Can you name them all and tell the origen of them and some curiosity o characteristic?.
3.- One of the previous instruments has another name because the one in the video is not the right one. Which one?
4.- Of each category (cordophones, membranophones, idiophones, aerophones and electric) give an example of a non-occidental instrument which is not in the video. You have to specify where are they from, the name and add a link so we can listen to them.
5.- Tell me the most common name used for the so called "Trompe".
6.- What's a stick sake? This is not the real name (and this is not the answer to question 3) Tell me the real name and a little bit of history about it. Besides, you can give a link to a website if you want to complete the information.

¡¡Feliz año nuevo 2013!! Últimamente, he estado leyendo en las redes sociales información sobre una orquesta en Paraguay, que reutiliza diferentes materiales encontrados en el vertedero para crear instrumentos musicales. Lo más impresionante es que ¡suenan muy bien!
Happy new year 2013!! Lately, I've been reading on the social network about an orchestra in Paraguay, which reuse different materials found on the dump to create musical instruments. The most impressive thing about this story is that instruments really sound great!!.

Me gustaría que viérais este documental para hablar sobre él en la clase. Creo que damos por sentado demasiadas cosas. Somos muy afortunados de tener la oportunidad de aprender música así como a bailar, cantar, tocar la flauta, etc. Quizá el año que viene, ya no la tendremos más, así que tenemos que disfrutarla tanto como podamos, ¿no creéis?

I'd like you to see this documentary in order to speak about it in the classroom. I think we take for granted too many things. We are very lucky to have the opportunity to learn music and dancing, singing, playing the recorder, etc. Maybe next year, we won't have it any more, so we have to enjoy it as long as we have it, don't you think?
